Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Certification/credentialed as CCS, RHIT, RHIA, CPC, CPC-A, CCS-P, or CCA and eligibility to sit for credentials exam; credentials must be obtained within 6 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Professional Development: maintain current coding guidelines knowledge and complete continuing education to maintain credentials.
• Coding: review medical records, assign ICD-10-CM/CPT codes using 3M software, and enter data accurately; meet productivity and AR goals.
