Job summary

Valley Health System seeks a Regional Coding Manager liaison to coordinate coders and the CBO, ensuring timely processing of requests and resolution of issues. The role requires CCS certification and several years of inpatient/outpatient coding experience.

The position emphasizes data integrity, confidentiality, and collaboration with medical staff and departments to support timely claim submission and compliant coding practices.

Qualifications

• High School diploma; higher education in related field preferred.
• Minimum three years coding experience in acute care with inpatient and outpatient accounts.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, SMS, Cerner, Siemens Document Imaging and 3M Encoder; skilled in ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS and CPT.
• CCS certification required; RHIA or RHIT preferred.
• Must be able to handle highly sensitive and confidential material.

Responsibilities

• Assist Regional Coding Manager as liaison between coders and CBO to ensure timely processing of CBO requests.
• Ensure accounts are released timely and address concerns for resolution.
