Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Health Information or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of CPT, HCPCS and ICD-10-CM coding experience.
• 3+ years of audit experience in a multi-specialty physician office setting.
• Certifications required: RHIA/RHIT/CPC/CCS; CPMA or CDEO within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Audits provider coding and documentation for accuracy and compliance.
• Performs retrospective and prospective audits to ensure CMS/AMA/OIG compliance.
• Reviews documentation to confirm CPT/HCPCS/ICD-10 code assignments.
• Delivers feedback and training to coders and providers on improvements.
• Maintains HIPAA compliance and up-to-date knowledge of coding guidelines.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Health Information or related field

5+ years CPT/HCPCS/ICD-10-CM coding

3+ years audit experience in multi-specialty physician office
