Job summary

Capital Health is seeking a Physician Coding Specialist to ensure compliant documentation and accurate CPT, E&M coding across multiple EMR systems. The role requires CPC or CCS-P certification and at least two years of professional coding experience.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Health Information Management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review medical record documentation for accurate diagnosis, CPT, and E&M codes.
• Monitor provider E&M codes to ensure documentation supports medical necessity and compliance.
• Develop and deliver education materials to improve documentation quality and coding accuracy.]
• Meets or exceeds departmental accuracy and productivity standards.
• Collaborates with revenue cycle teams to resolve coding issues and supports pre-bill edits as needed.
