Job summary

DaMar Staffing seeks a Certified Hospital Coder to join a hospital coding team in Nebraska. You will code inpatient and outpatient services, ensuring accuracy and compliance with ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS guidelines.

The ideal candidate holds a recognized coding certification and has at least two years of hospital coding experience, with strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Certified medical coder with knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS.
• Minimum 2 years formal coding experience with certification.
• Experience with hospital coding and electronic health records preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review clinical documentation for accurate coding.

Join our team as a Certified Hospital Coder! We are looking for a detail-oriented professional to accurately code inpatient and outpatient hospital services while ensuring compliance with coding guidelines and reimbursement requirements.

Responsibilities Include:

• Review clinical documentation for accurate coding.
• Assign ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes.
• Identify missing or incomplete charges.
• Assist with claim denials and documentation improvement.
• Maintain coding certification and stay current on coding regulations.

Qualifications:

• Experience with hospital coding and electronic health records is preferred.
• High school diploma required.
• Holds current coding certification in one of the following: CPC (Certified medical Coder), CCS (Certified Coding Specialist), CCA (Certified Coding Associate), RHIT (Registered Health Information Technologist). Other certifications will be considered.
• Minimum of 2 years formal coding experience with certification.
