Job summary

CRMC Branding is seeking a medical coder to analyze clinical documentation and assign ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and CPT codes for a variety of hospital encounters. The coder will ensure medical records are coded accurately and timely in accordance with established coding guidelines.

The coder may assist with denials and appeals as needed as a member of a dynamic team. Experience and/or certification is required, with preferred training in Health Information Technology or related field.

Job description

The medical coder is responsible for analyzing clinical documentation to assign and/or validate ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and CPT codes for a variety of hospital encounters. The coder will ensure that medical records are coded in an accurate and timely manner and in accordance with established coding guidelines. The coder may assist with denials and appeals, as needed, and will identify, resolve, and report errors or patterns associated with coding and billing processes as a member of a dynamic team.

Experience and/or certification required.

Potential to work remotely after successful orientation/training and probationary period.
