Responsibilities

Summary: Under general supervision, according to established policies, procedures and protocols, codes all disease and operations according to accepted classifications. Ensure compliance with PRO data reporting and other regulatory licensing and accrediting agencies.

Qualifications
  • At least 1 year recent coding experience including coding surgical cases preferred.
  • Experienced in coding hospital inpatient and outpatient E/M services.
  • Thorough knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 coding necessary.
  • Understanding of both the medical and business side of healthcare operations.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, detail-oriented and energetic team player.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills including MS Office, Internet, and E-mail.
  • Epic experience helpful
