Qualifications

• One year's current experience with insurance billing and/or medical collection and medical terminology.
• Skill in communicating clearly and effectively using standard English in written, oral and verbal format.
• Collegiate or medical trade completion; Associates Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verifies insurance, communicates with carriers for reimbursement.
• Performs daily and monthly close out procedures for internal controls and cash balancing.
• Maintains knowledge of co-pays, deductibles, and workers' comp for billing accuracy.
• Promotes customer satisfaction with professional communication.
• Follows corporate policies and clinic operations guidelines.
• Answers telephones and directs messages to maintain workflow.
• Keeps files neat and confidential; supports data integrity.
• Inputs demographic and medical data; collects fees; assists financial counseling.
• Carries out additional duties assigned by Clinic Manager.
• Completes assigned goals.
