Job summary

Zion HealthShare is seeking a Medical Billing Specialist to oversee and manage the payment of medical bills related to Sharing Request Submissions. You will communicate with members and providers to ensure payments are received promptly and records are accurately maintained.

The role requires handling provider and member payments, generating medical bills for payout, and providing regular status updates while upholding compassionate service in a fast-paced nonprofit environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of customer service experience.
• Strong time management and communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and multitasking across programs.
• Able to type at least 45 WPM and work with multiple monitors.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to policies and procedures.
• Manage Medical Need Submissions: create records, obtain info, process payments, and communicate status.
• Coordinate payments to providers and members promptly.
• Support email inbox management.
• Assist with phone inquiries and maintain member/provider updates.
• Ensure high levels of member satisfaction and adapt to changes.
