Behavior Frontiers in El Segundo, CA is hiring a full-time Medical Billing Collector on-site. Pay rate is $23.00–$29.00 per hour depending on experience.

Working Monday–Friday, 40 hours weekly, with on-site duties to support the billing team. Responsibilities include submitting bills to insurance and private pay, contacting insurers about claim status, informing clients of overdue balances, reviewing payments, and negotiating payment plans when needed.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of medical/insurance billing experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Provide negative TB test results.
• Able to clear FBI & DOJ fingerprinting.
• Valid Government ID required.

Aufgaben

• Ensuring that patients' bills are prepared and submitted for both insurance and private pay.
• Contacting insurance companies to determine the status of submitted claims and investigating reasons for claim denial.
• Researching and contacting clients to inform them about overdue bills and accounts.
• Ensuring that all posted payments are reviewed for accuracy and comprehensiveness.
• Negotiating for a reasonable payment plan when patients cannot pay medical bills due to financial position.
• Preparing and submitting billing data, medical claims, and appeals to insurance organizations.
• Settling financial discrepancies and monitoring missed payments.
• Overseeing and maintaining billing software by updating cash spreadsheets, rate changes, and current collection reports.
• Maintaining quality results by strictly adhering to standards.
• Escalating issues when insurances and clients refuse to pay.
• Other duties, as assigned.
