Job summary

UCI Health, part of the University of California, Irvine, is seeking a Collections Representative in the Physicians Billing Group. Under the Billing Manager, you will handle billing, collections, and customer service to resolve accounts for Medicare, Medi-Cal, MSI, Champus and commercial insurers.

Responsibilities include reviewing billing edits, submitting clean claims, collecting on aged accounts, and maintaining productive payer relationships.

Qualifications

• Experience in medical professional billing to include Medi-Cal, Medicare, MSI, Champus and commercial insurance carriers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to review patient accounts and bill/collect revenue for professional medical services rendered.
• Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.

Responsibilities

• Work billing editing reports prior to submittal of claims to ensure clean claims.
• Collect on insurance invoices/accounts as generated and outlined on worklists and aging reports.
• Effectively bill and collect revenue for professional medical services rendered.
