Job summary

DaMar Staffing seeks a detail-oriented Medical Billing and Coding Specialist to join our Anchorage team. This on-site role supports multi-specialty clinics by ensuring accurate claim submission and resolving billing issues in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of billing and coding experience, strong knowledge of ICD-10/CPT, and CPT/denial management skills. Certification is preferred, with comprehensive benefits and a supportive workplace.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; certification preferred (CPC, CCS-P or equivalent).
• 3+ years of medical billing and coding experience, preferably in multi-specialty clinics.
• Advanced knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding; familiarity with CMS guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Review, code, and submit claims accurately and timely.
• Manage assigned billing work queues and charge capture.
• Investigate and resolve claim denials and rejections.
• Analyze denial trends and recommend solutions.
• Prepare and submit appeals with supporting documentation.
• Utilize payer portals for claim corrections and resubmissions.
• Collaborate with staff and providers to resolve billing issues.
