Job summary

Axia Women’s Health is seeking a Charge Entry Specialist to support our practices by ensuring accurate billing and timely revenue capture. You will review provider encounters, gather information from external sources, and submit clean claims to payors, while addressing denials and ensuring proper documentation across our network.

Ideal candidates bring 4+ years in medical billing, a high school diploma (college preferred), and experience with eClinicalWorks or similar systems.

Qualifications

• Specialized knowledge of Medical Billing, Medical Coding, HIPAA, Insurance Payors, and Federal & State rules and regulations.
• Mastery of eClinicalWorks (eCW) or similar practice management system.

Responsibilities

• Review encounters for accuracy and completeness of billing codes before submission.
• Gather information from outside entities related to services rendered by Axia providers.
• Scan documents and enter charges for various care services.
• Submit clean claims to Axia RCM for insurance payors.
• Rework or augment claims per denials or rejections by payors.
• Reconcile submitted claims with appointments to ensure proper documentation.
• Research and communicate payor rules and requirements related to claims.
• Identify causes of denials and work with staff to resolve root issues.
• Train new billing staff on Axia billing policies and procedures.
• Provide excellent customer service via email and phone and timely follow-ups.
• Support team projects and collaboration.
