• Strong ICD-10, DRG, CPT, and modifier knowledge.
• Certification in coding is a plus.
• Proficiency with billing software and EHR systems.
• Takes ownership, doesn't need hand-holding, but is a team player.
• Clear and professional communicator with providers, payers, and patients.

Responsibilities

• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits.
• Work denied/denied or underpaid claims: identify root causes, correct coding errors, appeal when appropriate, and prevent repeats.
• Monitor aging reports, track outstanding balances, and reconcile accounts receivable.
• Manage A/R and follow up on unpaid claims and patient balances.
• Handle patient billing questions professionally.
• Collaborate with providers to improve documentation accuracy.
• Maintain organized, confidential billing records.
• Track payer changes and stay current on coding updates.

About the Role

We’re looking for a detail-oriented Medical Biller to manage the full billing cycle for our dermatology clients. You’ll handle billing start to finish – denials/rejection, follow‑up/resubmission, and insurance payments/ERA/papers – with precision and care. Every detail matters, and your accuracy will keep revenue flowing smoothly.
