Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits.
• Work rejected/denied or underpaid claims: identify root causes, correct coding errors, appeal when appropriate.
• Monitor aging reports, track outstanding balances, and reconcile accounts receivable.
• Manage AR and follow up on unpaid claims and patient balances.
• Handle patient billing questions professionally.
• Collaborate with providers to improve documentation accuracy.
• Maintain organized, confidential billing records.
• Track payer changes and stay current on coding updates.

About the Role

We’re looking for a detail-oriented Medical Biller to manage the full billing cycle for our dermatology clients. You’ll handle billing start to finish - denials/rejection, follow‑up/resubmission, and insurance payments/ERA/papers - with precision and care. Every detail matters, and your accuracy will keep revenue flowing smoothly.

What You’ll Do

• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits
• Work rejected/denied or underpaid claims: identify root causes, correct coding errors, appeal when appropriate, and prevent repeat issues
• Monitor aging reports, track outstanding balances, and reconcile accounts receivable
• Manage A/R and follow up on unpaid claims and patient balances
• Handle patient billing questions professionally
• Collaborate with providers to improve documentation accuracy
• Maintain organized, confidential billing records
• Track payer changes and stay current on coding updates

What We're Looking For
