Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Process and post billing statements manually and electronically.
• Accept and reconcile payments from patients and insurers.
• Prepare and manage payment batches and deposits.
• Audit billing cycles for accuracy and compliance.
• Review EOBs from insurance providers.
• Maintain billing records and report discrepancies.
• Create and submit invoices per company procedures.

• Monitor accounts receivable aging and assist with collections.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

• Process and post billing statements manually and electronically.
• Accept and reconcile payments from patients and insurance providers.
• Prepare and manage payment batches and deposits.
• Conduct audits of billing cycles to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Review and assess Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) from insurance companies.
• Maintain accurate billing records and report discrepancies to accounting.
• Create and submit invoices according to company protocols.
• Update and maintain customer files, including changes in contact or billing information.
• Research and resolve payment discrepancies.
• Monitor accounts receivable aging and ensure timely collections.
• Process account adjustments and assist with month-end closing procedures.
• Maintain bookkeeping databases and spreadsheets.
• Collaborate with internal teams to support financial reporting and compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, or general accounting.
• Experience in a healthcare or clinical setting is a plus.
