Job summary

Atlanta Technical College in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Full-Time Technical Instructor for the Medical Assisting Program. The role delivers didactic, lab, and clinical instruction and supports student success in line with accreditation standards.

Under supervision of the Dean and Program Chair, the instructor develops lesson plans, leads skills labs (phlebotomy, injections, EKG), evaluates student performance, and arranges externships, while ensuring compliance with regulatory and credentialing

Qualifications

• Must have Associate’s degree or higher in medical assisting or related healthcare field.
• Current credentials CMA (AAMA), RMA (AMT) or CCMA (NHA).
• Teaching or training experience in a higher education setting.
• Three to five years of recent clinical ambulatory care experience.
• Proficiency in EHR systems and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Deliver didactic, laboratory, and clinical instruction.
• Develop lesson plans aligned with accrediting standards.
• Facilitate skills labs (Phlebotomy, injections, EKG, etc.).
• Evaluate student performance using formative and summative assessments.
• Assist with clinical site placement and externship coordination.
