Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in Medical Assisting or related healthcare field.
• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare-related field preferred.
• Minimum of three years of recent clinical experience in a healthcare setting.
• Current CPR/BLS certification through AHA or equivalent.
• Previous teaching or workforce training experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach Medical Assisting courses in classroom, online, lab, simulation, and clinical settings.
• Deliver instruction in administrative, clinical, and laboratory procedures per industry standards.
• Demonstrate and supervise clinical skills such as vital signs, medication administration, EKG, specimens, and minor procedures.
• Evaluate student performance via exams, projects, competencies, and clinical assessments.
• Maintain attendance, grades, competency records, and required documentation.
• Ensure compliance with policies, accreditation, safety, and clinical site requirements.
• Utilize instructional technologies, LMS, and simulation equipment to enhance learning.
• Monitor student progress and provide timely feedback and remediation.
• Participate in curriculum review and program improvement activities.
• Collaborate with program faculty, partners, and college administration.
• Maintain current knowledge of medical assisting practices and educational methods.
• Support student preparation for national certification examinations and workforce entry.
