Job summary

Hagerstown Community College is seeking a CNA-I and Medical Assisting Programs Coordinator and Lead Instructor. This full-time role combines administrative leadership with teaching responsibilities for CNA-I and Medical Assisting programs.

You will ensure MBON standards, supervise labs and classrooms, assist students with licensure, and collaborate with adjuncts and faculty to maintain program quality and compliance.

Qualifications

• RN license and associate degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Maryland licensure as RN or multi-state privilege to practice in MD.
• Minimum 2 years nursing experience, at least 1 year in long-term care.
• Completion of a course with at least 16 hours of adult education.

Responsibilities

• Supervise CNA-I training and overall program operation per MBON requirements.
• Develop and evaluate CNA-I training program and materials.
• Deliver MBON-approved training content and objectives.
• Supervise clinical experiences and assess student performance.
• Maintain MBON documentation and course records for compliance.
• Coordinate with adjunct instructors to meet faculty requirements.
• Assist students with licensure applications and testing registrations.
• Teach in classrooms, labs, and clinical settings as assigned.
• Use evidence-based teaching and student-centered learning.
• Maintain office hours and collaborate on course development.
• Oversee program labs, equipment, and supplies.
• Maintain knowledge of college policies and allied health program needs.
• Attend WSCE Allied Health program meetings.
