Job summary

Howard Community College is seeking a Part Time Certified Medical Assistant Instructor to deliver classroom and lab instruction in the Medical Assisting program. Qualifications

  • Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA, RMA, or equivalent) or licensed healthcare professional.
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in medical assisting or outpatient care.
  • Prior teaching or training experience preferred.
  • Completion or willingness to complete instructor training or education methodology coursework.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to student success and excellence in healthcare education.

Responsibilities

Schedule: Monday‑Friday

Summary

The Medical Assistant Instructor is responsible for providing high‑quality instruction to students enrolled in the Medical Assisting program. This role includes teaching both classroom theory and hands‑on clinical skills, preparing students for certification and successful employment in outpatient healthcare settings. Essential Role Responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience teaching in a community college, technical school, or adult education environment.
  • Familiarity with instructional technology and online learning platforms.
  • Bilingual abilities (if applicable to student population).
