Job summary

Endeavor Health in Downers Grove, IL is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant (20 hours/week) at 2205 Butterfield Road. The role includes clinical and clerical duties with occasional travel and flexible hours.

You will prepare patients for exams, collect specimens, perform routine labs and phlebotomy, and administer selected injections under physician supervision. CPR certification is required; CMA/RMA/CCMA certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current CPR certification required.
• CMA/RMA/CCMA certification preferred; at least 6 months clinical experience.
• Candidates not certified should have at least 1 year of clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for physical examination, obtain specimens, conduct routine laboratory tests and record results.
• Administer selected medications/injections under physician supervision.
• Perform clerical duties related to clinic operations.

Hourly Pay Range:

$20.29 - $29.42 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

• Position: Medical Assistant
• Location: 2205 Butterfield Road, Downers Grove
• Part Time: 20 hours per week
• Hours- Monday 6:30a-6:30p & 6:30a-2:30p every other weekend
• Required Travel: Occasionally
• This role includes some travel to other locations and requires flexible hours to meet operational needs

What you will do:

Under the direction of the Supervisor, performs select clinical functions to enhance delivery of patient care. Prepare patients for physical examination, obtain specimens, conduct select routine laboratory tests and records results, routine diagnostic tests and may perform phlebotomy. Under general supervision of a physician, administer selected medications/injections. Also performs clerical duties related to clinic operations.

What you will need:

• High school diploma or GED - REQUIRED
• Certified, Registered, and Clinical Certified Medical Assistants (CMA, RMA or CCMA) are required to provide current certification or registration through American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA), National Health career Association (NHA) or any other certifying agency and should have at least 6 months of clinical experience. - PREFERRED
• Candidates who are not certified or registered should have at least one year of clinical experience. - PREFERRED
• Current CPR Certification issued by American Heart Association - REQUIRED
