Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Medical Assistant/Patient Support Assistant for the Lakeview-Chicago Clinic. This full-time role supports the physician practice with front-desk duties, scheduling, patient registration, and basic vitals, including rooming and insurance verification.

Expect rotating hours from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional 8:00 PM shifts in 2027. Responsibilities include answering phones, collecting co-pays, greeting patients, and providing administrative help; phlebotomy and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited medical assisting program preferred but not required.
• CPR certification through the American Heart Association required; Medical Assistant certification (AMT, AAMA, ARMA, CCMA, CMA, MAC, AMCA) preferred but not required.
• One year of work experience in a medical office or related field required; on-the-job training provided if not already trained.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones and schedule appointments.
• Collect co-pays and verify insurances.
• Complete patient registration and front office support.
• Greet patients and escort to exam room; document vitals, allergies, medications, and reason for visit.
• Provide basic administrative support to the physician practice and check-in/check-out patients.
• Perform basic vitals (BP, height, weight); phlebotomy and injections may be required.

Hourly Pay Range:

$20.29 - $29.42 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

• Location: Lakeview-Chicago Clinic
• Full Time/Part Time: Full Time (40 hours per week)
• Hours: 7:00AM - 5:00PM Monday -Friday - rotating - hours increasing to 8:00PM in 2027

What you will do:

• Answer phones
• Schedule appointments
• Collect co-payments
• Complete patient registration
• Provide other administrative support to the physician practice
• Check in and check out patient
• Verify insurances
• Greet patients and escort them to exam room
• Document vital signs, allergies, medications and reason for office visit
• Provide front office support as needed
• Perform basic vitals like BP, height and weight
• Phlebotomy and injections may be required

What you will need:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent work experience is required. Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program is preferred, but not required
• Certification: CPR certification through the American Heart Association required; Medical Assistant Certification (AMT, AAMA, ARMA, CCMA, CMA, MAC, AMCA) is preferred, but not required
• Experience: One year of work experience required, previous experience working in a medical office (or related field) is preferred. On the job training is provided for those who do not have previous medical assistant training or experience
