Corewell Health is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant for our Grand Haven outpatient clinic. You will join a clinical support team, working closely with physicians and nurses to ensure delivery of high-quality patient care.

This role is based in a busy outpatient setting with a standard 40-hour week. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and on-demand pay options, with opportunities to grow within a supportive health system.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program or 1 year of direct MA/clinical support experience.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.

About Outpatient Clinics Corewell Health operates over 300 outpatient clinics across Michigan, bringing a multitude of care options to the communities that we serve. There are over 40 different types of primary care and specialty practices, which allows those who work in these clinics the opportunity to learn and explore various interests or to specialize in one area.

Scope of work

As a Medical Assistant with Corewell Health, you'll be a member of our clinical support team and work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of the best possible care. You'll be a vital part of our team, making a real difference in the lives of our patients.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent Required
• Successful completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program that includes hands-on, in-person clinical skills OR a minimum of one (1) year of experience working specifically in the role of a Medical Assistant, LPN, Paramedic or EMT performing direct patient care and clinical support functions consistent with an MA scope of practice Required
• 1 year of relevant experience in a physician practice or healthcare setting Preferred
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Required within 90 Days
• AAMA Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
• AMT Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
• NHA Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA)
• NCCT Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA)
• NAHP Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA)
