Job summary

Corewell Health Wyoming Care Center in Wyoming, MI is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our urgent care team. You’ll support clinical staff, assist with patient flow, and help deliver timely, compassionate care in a fast-paced setting.

All qualified external applicants may receive a $3,000 sign-on bonus; the role is full-time with a 36.75-hour week, variable shifts, and duties that include hands-on clinical support and patient care coordination.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent Required
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program OR 1 year of direct patient care experience
• 1 year of relevant experience in a physician practice or healthcare setting preferred
• BLS Certification Required within 90 Days
• CMA / RMA / CCMA / NCMA / NRCMA certification required within 120 Days

About Outpatient Clinics

Corewell Health operates over 300 outpatient clinics across Michigan, bringing a multitude of care options to the communities that we serve. There are over 40 different types of primary care and specialty practices, which allows those who work in these clinics the opportunity to learn and explore various interests or to specialize in one area.

Scope of work

As a Medical Assistant with Corewell Health, you\'ll be a member of our clinical support team and work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of the best possible care. You\'ll be a vital part of our team, making a real difference in the lives of our patients.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent Required
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program that includes hands-on, in-person clinical skills training OR a minimum of one (1) year of experience working specifically in the role of a Medical Assistant, LPN, Paramedic or EMT performing direct patient care and clinical support functions consistent with MA scope of practice Required
• 1 year of relevant experience in a physician practice or healthcare setting Preferred
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Required within 90 Days

• One of the following Required within 120 Days
• AAMA Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
• AMT Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
• NHA Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA)
• NCCT Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA)
