Corewell Health in Grand Haven is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our clinical support team and help deliver high-quality patient care in a busy outpatient setting.

You will work 36 hours per week, daytime shifts, with a sign-on bonus of $3,000 for external applicants. Completion of an MA program or equivalent experience is required, plus BLS certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completed MA training program OR 1 year direct patient care in MA/ LPN/ EMT roles.
• 1 year of healthcare experience in a physician practice preferred.
• BLS certification required within 90 days.
• MA credential options: CMA, RMA, CCMA, NCMA or NRCMA within 120 days.

Scope of work

As a Medical Assistant with Corewell Health, you'll be a member of our clinical support team and work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of the best possible care. You'll be a vital part of our team, making a real difference in the lives of our patients.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent Required
• Successful completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program that includes hands-on, in-person clinical skills OR a minimum of one (1) year of experience working specifically in the role of a Medical Assistant, LPN, Paramedic or EMT performing direct patient care and clinical support functions consistent with an MA scope of practice Required
• 1 year of relevant experience in a physician practice or healthcare setting Preferred
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Required within 90 Days
• One of the following Required within 120 Days
  • AAMA Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
  • AMT Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
  • NHA Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA)
  • NCCT Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA)
  • NAHP Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA)
