Job summary

St. Charles Health System in Redmond, OR, is seeking a Medical Assistant to manage daily patient flow for assigned providers and support triage to gather information for appropriate care.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, MA certification (or enrollment), and knowledge of ICD-10/CPT/HCPCS coding; experience with EMR systems is preferred. In-state or out-of-state relocation assistance is available.

Qualifications

• Must have basic knowledge of ICD-10, CM/CPT/HCPCS coding conventions.
• Experience with medical practice management information systems.
• Preferred: Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and prep for physician assessment.
• Record and maintain patient's medical data in chart.
• Assist physician with phone requests from patients and other professionals.
• Perform physician-requested ancillary and/or surgical procedures (excluding IV meds).
• Maintain equipment and supply inventory.
• Support Lean principles and organizational values.
• Provide a safe environment for caregivers, patients, and visitors.
• Maintain professionalism and HIPAA compliance in all activities.
• Deliver timely, efficient, accurate patient care and service.
• May take on additional duties of similar complexity as needed.
