Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent; CMA preferred.
• One year of urology experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills; knowledge of medical terminology; proficiency with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Meets, greets, and escorts patients to exam rooms; obtains initial information and vital signs.
• Assists physician with exams, tests, and minor procedures; prepares sterile trays.
• Orders, stocks, and maintains supplies for exam rooms; reviews medication and supply expirations.
• Creates patient charts; verifies medical records and demographics.
• Schedules appointments and tests; pre-certifies admissions, surgeries, and outpatient procedures; coordinates referrals.
• Performs general clerical duties; assists clinic staff as needed.
• Answers prescription questions and refill requests.
• Responsible for CPT and ICD-10 coding; reviews denied accounts weekly.
• Coordinates meetings and surgery schedules; works with regulatory agencies.
• Floats to other clinics as needed.
