GoHealth-Urgent-Care in Indianapolis seeks a Medical Assistant to support providers, radiologic techs, and patients. You will manage patient intake, vitals, point-of-care testing, and care coordination in a fast-paced urgent care setting, ensuring accurate records and smooth clinic flow.

Formación

• Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program preferred.
• 1+ years of Medical Assistant experience under a licensed healthcare supervisor within the last 3 years preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required at time of hire (ARC or AHA).
• Certification options: CCMA, CMA, RMA, NCMA, NRCMA, EMT, CNA or WA/CA specific variants.

Responsabilidades

• Register patients and secure required paperwork and insurance documents.
• Process co-pays and schedule appointments for the center.
• Coordinate provider referrals to specialists.
• Answer patient questions and update them on status.
• Inform technical staff of patient flow and prepare patients for examination.
• Perform vital signs and point-of-care testing when needed.
• Stock supplies and maintain exam rooms and reception areas.
• Maintain medical records and scan charts to patient files.
• Answer calls and handle daily mail; perform opening/closing duties.
• Follow QA/maintenance logs and document equipment issues.
