Job summary

Mercy-GoHealth Urgent Care is seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers and radiologic staff, manage patient flow, and handle registration, co-pays, and referrals. The role emphasizes accurate, timely work aligned with our care‑delivery standards.

The MA will perform basic clinical tasks, assist with patient assessment, take vital signs, and help maintain supplies and medical records in a fast-paced urgent care environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program is preferred, with 1+ years MA experience under supervision preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register patients including collecting insurance information and eligibility verification.
• Process co-pays and schedule appointments for the center.
• Coordinate referrals to Specialists and respond to patient questions.
• Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers and staff as needed.
• Maintain exam rooms, inventory, and medical records documentation.
