Job summary

Mercy Health | GoHealth Urgent Care is seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers and patients in a fast-paced urgent care setting. You will assist with patient care management, registration, clerical duties, and basic clinical tasks to ensure a seamless patient experience.

Ideal candidates have medical terminology knowledge and MA program background, with 1+ years of MA experience preferred; a high school diploma is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program preferred.
• 1+ years of Medical Assistant experience under a licensed healthcare supervisor within the last 3 years preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers, radiologic technologists, and patients with a variety of tasks.
• Conduct patient registration and verify insurance and eligibility.
• Perform basic clinical tasks and point-of-care testing as needed.
• Stock supplies and maintain exam rooms and reception areas; manage records and charts.
