Corewell Health is seeking a Medical Assistant for a float role across multiple Urgent Care locations in Michigan, including East Beltline, Alpine, Cutlerville, Zeeland, Wyoming, Rockford, Ada and Grand Haven. The position combines registration tasks with MA duties in a small clinic setting.

The role requires completion of an accredited MA program or equivalent clinical experience, with BLS preferred. A comprehensive benefits package is included for eligible employees.

About the Practice

You never know what's going to get! In urgent care, we see all kinds of patients for any reason. Fast-paced environment and a variety of patients. Continuously changing, remarkably diverse group. It can be a challenging space to work in. This Clinic is located inside the Meijer Store in Hudsonville. Is really a clinical/clerical role, registration combined with medical assistant duties, small clinic, lower acuity (no procedures or Xray).

Scope of work

As a Medical Assistant with Corewell Health, you'll be a member of our clinical support team and work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of the best possible care. You'll be a vital part of our team, making a real difference in the lives of our patients. This Float position will go to all the Urgent Care locations (East Beltline, Alpine, Cutlerville, Zeeland, Wyoming, Rockford, Ada and Grand Haven).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Required Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program that includes hands-on, in-person clinical skills training OR a minimum of one (1) year of experience working specifically in the role of a Medical Assistant, LPN, Paramedic or EMT performing direct patient care and clinical support functions consistent with MA scope of practice
• Required 1 year of relevant experience in a physician practice or healthcare setting
• Preferred AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Required within 90 Days One of the following
• Required within 120 Days AAMA Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) AMT Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) NHA Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA) NCCT Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) NAHP Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA)
