Job summary

Corewell Health’s Wyoming Care Center is hiring a Medical Assistant in a fast-paced urgent care setting. The role supports clinical staff, assists with patient care, and helps ensure efficient patient flow across a diverse group of patients.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completed an accredited Medical Assistant program with hands-on clinical training OR at least 1 year in MA/LPN/Paramedic/EMT performing direct patient care.
• 1 year of relevant experience in a physician practice or healthcare setting.
• BLS certification preferred; required within 120 days if applicable.

Scope of work

As a Medical Assistant with Corewell Health, you'll be a member of our clinical support team and work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of the best possible care. You'll be a vital part of our team, making a real difference in the lives of our patients.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Required Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program that includes hands‑on, in‑person clinical skills training OR a minimum of one (1) year of experience working specifically in the role of a Medical Assistant, LPN, Paramedic or EMT performing direct patient care and clinical support functions consistent with MA scope of practice
• Required 1year of relevant experience in a physician practice or healthcare setting
• Preferred
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Required within 90 Days
• One of the following
• Required within 120 Days
• AAMA Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
• AMT Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
• NHA Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA)
• NCCT Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA)
• NAHP Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA
