Description

The Medical Assistant (MA) II works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties as directed to assist in providing patient care to assigned patients. A MA II performs all aspects of the MA I role and is fully competent in the clinical needs/functions for the assigned clinic or location of work. An MA II is expected to perform in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school with hands-on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants, or
• Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program, or
• Completed two years of medical training in the U.S. Armed Forces, or
• At least one year of healthcare experience as a medical assistant including vital signs, injections, and medication administration, or
• Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association, and
• Six months healthcare experience, and
• Six months medical assistant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Six months of high-level customer service experience in a fast-paced environment, and
• Experience working with Electronic Health Records (EHR) in a healthcare setting.
