Job summary

Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians, nurses, and care teams by facilitating efficient patient flow and performing routine clinical tasks. You will maintain clean, safe patient areas and assist with diagnostic procedures while protecting patient privacy.

Responsibilities include preparing exam rooms, obtaining vital signs, assisting with ECG and venipuncture, immunizations, and managing supplies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Current certification in CMA, AMT, NCCT, NHA, or NRCMA.
• Certification must be attained within six months from onboarding.
• BLS/CPR certification required.
• 0–2 years of relevant experience.
• Strong computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists with efficient patient flow and prepares exam rooms.
• Assists with ECG, venipuncture, immunizations, and specimen collection as directed.
• Maintains clean, safe patient care areas and safeguarding patient confidentiality.
• Communicates effectively with patients and care team to support quality care.
• Performs duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.
