Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians, nurses, and the care team by facilitating efficient patient flow and handling routine clinical and administrative tasks. The role involves assisting with procedures, maintaining exam rooms, and ensuring patient confidentiality and satisfaction.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, BLS/CPR, and certification within six months, with 0–2 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certification within six months after employment start (CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, NRCMA) or eligible to certify.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• 0–2 years of experience in a relevant role.

Responsabilités

• Facilitate efficient patient flow and assist physicians, nurses, and other licensed staff.
• Assist with medical and (clinic) procedures such as ECG, venipuncture, immunizations, and CLIA-waived testing as directed.
• Maintain clean, stocked, and safe exam rooms; manage supplies and vaccine/medication inventory.
• Ensure professional, friendly interaction with patients and maintain patient confidentiality.
