Job summary

Northwestern Medicine Delnor Hospital is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians, nurses, and staff in a fast-paced clinic. You will facilitate patient flow, assist with procedures, and help with administrative tasks to ensure high-quality patient care.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, and certification eligibility or completion within six months. BLS certification is preferred, with 0–2 years of experience and strong computer skills to support clinical operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Certification options: CMA, RMA, NCCT, NHA, NRCMA or eligibility to obtain one of these exams within 6 months.
• American Heart Association BLS/CPR certification.
• 0–2 years of experience in a relevant role.
• Strong computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient patient flow and prepare exam rooms.
• Assist practitioners with procedures, venipuncture, injections, ECG and CLIA-waived testing as directed.
• Maintain clean, stocked, and safe treatment areas; manage supplies and inventory.
• Provide friendly, professional interaction with patients and support care team.
• Perform delegated procedures as appropriate to the specialty area and assist in daily clinic duties.
