Job summary

Hartford HealthCare is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide basic clinical and clerical support in patient care across our network of primary and specialty care sites.

Duties include vitals, history taking, medication and allergy reconciliation, point-of-care testing, scheduling, referrals, check-in/out, and chart preparation.

You will float to other offices as needed, supporting multiple teams, with access to our MA career ladder, tuition reimbursement, and comprehensive health benefits.

Qualifications

• Diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program or CT CNA/EMT/Paramedic certification.
• BLS Provider credential from the American Heart Association obtained within 3 months of hire.
• All credentials maintained throughout employment.

Responsibilities

• Vitals, history, outside medication and allergy reconciliation, screenings, and virtual health.
• Point-of-care testing with quality control and documentation.
• Assist providers with in-house procedures as needed.
• Administrative duties including scheduling, chart prep, referrals, check-in/out, prior authorizations and transportation facilitation.
• Floats to other offices based on business needs.
