Job summary

Nao Medical is recruiting Medical Assistants in our New York network to support clinical teams across multiple specialties. You will assist with patient care, documentation, and coordination to ensure smooth visits from check-in to checkout.

The role emphasizes hands-on clinical duties, patient communication, and collaboration with licensed providers to maintain high-quality care within a modern EMR workflow.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms, document chief complaints and record vital signs
• Perform point-of-care testing including EKGs and phlebotomy
• Assist Licensed Providers with minor procedures such as wound care, ear lavages, breathing treatments, sutures/staple removal
• Maintain sterilization protocols for equipment and spaces to ensure patient safety
• Assist front-d desk operations as needed: registration, phones, follow-up scheduling
• Maintain complete and accurate patient charts in the EMR, upholding HIPAA compliance
• Keep exam rooms stocked, clean, and prepped for next patient
• Coordinate with clinical and administrative staff to optimize patient flow
• Support mobility and positioning needs with empathy and respect
