Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant Program from an accredited institution.
• Current Medical Assistant Certification from a nationally recognized body (AAMA/AMT/NCCT/NHA).

Responsibilities

• Oversees Medical Assistant staff and patient care activities at the Faculty Group Practice site.
• Manages attendance, schedules, sick time changes, timekeeping and payroll for direct reports.
• Plans, coordinates and schedules MA activities; provides back-up coverage and supports physicians in patient care.
• Acts as liaison between clinical staff and physicians to ensure effective patient care and communication.
• Trains MA/PCA staff on duties and ensures cross-training for coverage.
• Ensures adherence to HIPAA, infection control, and other regulatory standards.
