Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Training: Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Credentials: CMA or RMA as required by state regulations.
• Life Support: BLS certification.
• Experience Baseline: 1 year of active clinical Medical Assistant experience.
• Physical Capability: Stand, walk, bend, lift up to 25 pounds, move quickly for emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers during patient examinations, treatments, and procedures.
• Take and document vital signs, histories, and intake information.
• Perform specimen collection, point-of-care testing, and related clinical tasks.
• Safely administer routine medications per regulations and policies.
• Respond to medical emergencies and support staff.
• Prepare and sanitize exam areas and manage infection control.
• Monitor inventory of medical supplies, equipment, and pharmaceuticals.
• Maintain medical records in EHR/EMR systems.
• Schedule patient appointments and coordinate care as directed.
