Job summary

USA Clinics Group in Salt Lake City area seeks a Medical Assistant to balance patient needs and maintain efficient clinic workflows, supporting physicians before, during, and after procedures while ensuring an excellent service experience.

The role requires 1-2 years of hands-on clinical experience, completion of MA training, and CMA/RMA/CCMA preferred. Bilingual English/Spanish is required, with a schedule Monday-Thursday and occasional Friday at West Valley City and Holladay locations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1-2 years of hands-on clinical experience as a Medical Assistant or similar role is required.
• Experience performing vital signs, rooming patients, phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, and specimen collection is required.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant training program and/or CMA/RMA/CCMA certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet, room, and assist patients to ensure a welcoming experience.
• Document vital signs, medical histories, and other information in EMR/EHR.
• Perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, and specimen collection within scope.
• Document patient interactions in EMR/EHR accurately.
• Deliver excellent patient service in a high-volume clinic environment.
• Utilize EMR/EHR platforms like Epic, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, or similar.
• Support patient care in physician offices, clinics, urgent care centers, pharmacies, hospitals, or home health environments.
• Leverage bilingual skills to support patient interactions when applicable.

Position Summary

As a Medical Assistant, you would balance the needs of patients and maintain efficient work flow of the office as well as provide support to the physician in all facets of medical procedures – before during and after. In addition, you would ensure that the patient has an excellent service experience.

Position Details

• Schedule: Monday-Thursday; occasional Friday
• Locations: West Valley City and Holladay clinics
• Compensation: $21-$24/hr
• Bilingual Required: Fluent in English & Spanish

Key Responsibilities

• Greet, room, and assist patients upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming and positive patient experience.
• Obtain and document patient vital signs, medical histories, and other clinical information in the electronic medical record (EMR/EHR).
• Perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, EKGs, injections/vaccinations, specimen collection, and other duties within scope of training and certification.
• Accurately document patient interactions and clinical information using EMR/EHR systems.
• Deliver exceptional patient service while managing a high volume of patient interactions in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Utilize EMR/EHR platforms such as Epic, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, or similar systems.
• Support patient care within a healthcare setting, including physician offices, clinics, urgent care centers, pharmacies, hospitals, or home health environments.
• Leverage bilingual communication skills to support patient interactions when applicable.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
• 1-2 years of hands-on clinical experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar direct patient care role (e.g., Medical Assistant externship, CNA, HHA, Nursing Assistant, or Patient Care Technician), required.
• Experience performing clinical duties such as vital signs, patient rooming, phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, and specimen collection, required.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant training program and/or current CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification preferred.
• Proven patient-facing or customer service experience in a fast-paced environment, required.
