Job summary

USA Clinics Group is seeking a Medical Assistant in Reno for part-time work, with duties including patient check-in, vitals, and basic clinical tasks. You will support physicians during procedures and ensure an excellent patient experience.

Requirements include a high school diploma, 2–5 years of MA experience, and MA training or CMA/RMA/CCMA certification preferred. Fluency in Spanish and English is preferred; travel for training may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant training program and/or CMA/RMA/CCMA certification preferred.
• 2-5 years of hands-on clinical MA experience required.

Responsibilities

• Greet, room, and assist patients upon arrival and ensure a positive experience.
• Document patient vitals, histories, and clinical information in EMR/EHR.
• Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, and specimen collection within training scope.

Position Summary

As a Medical Assistant, you would balance the needs of patients and maintain efficient work flow of the office as well as provide support to the physician in all facets of medical procedures – before during and after. In addition, you would ensure that the patient has an excellent service experience.

Position Details

• Schedule: Part-time Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday
• Location: Reno
• Compensation: $22-$25/hr
• Must be able to travel out of state for 2 weeks for paid full-time training.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet, room, and assist patients upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming and positive patient experience.
• Obtain and document patient vital signs, medical histories, and other clinical information in the electronic medical record (EMR/EHR).
• Perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, EKGs, injections/vaccinations, specimen collection, and other duties within scope of training and certification.
• Accurately document patient interactions and clinical information using EMR/EHR systems.
• Deliver exceptional patient service while managing a high volume of patient interactions in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Utilize EMR/EHR platforms such as Epic, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, or similar systems.
• Support patient care within a healthcare setting, including physician offices, clinics, urgent care centers, pharmacies, hospitals, or home health environments.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
• 2-5 years of hands-on clinical experience as a Medical Assistant required.
• Experience performing clinical duties such as vital signs, patient rooming, phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, and specimen collection, required.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant training program and/or current CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification preferred.
• Proven patient-facing or customer service experience in a fast-paced environment, required.
• Fluency in Spanish & English preferred
