Job summary

USA Clinics Group in Reno, NV is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant to balance patient care with efficient office workflows and to support physicians before, during, and after procedures.

You will document vital signs, medical histories, and other clinical data in EMR/EHR systems and perform phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, and specimen collection as trained. Must have high school diploma and 2–5 years of hands-on clinical experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
• 2-5 years of hands-on clinical experience as a Medical Assistant, required.
• Experience performing clinical duties such as vital signs, patient rooming, phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, and specimen collection, required.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant training program and/or current CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification preferred.
• Proven patient-facing or customer service experience in a fast-paced environment, required.
• Fluency in Spanish & English preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet, room, and assist patients upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming and positive patient experience.
• Obtain and document patient vital signs, medical histories, and other clinical information in the EMR/EHR.
• Perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, EKGs, injections/vaccinations, specimen collection, and other duties within scope of training and certification.
• Accurately document patient interactions and clinical information using EMR/EHR systems.
• Deliver exceptional patient service while managing a high volume of patient interactions in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Utilize EMR/EHR platforms such as Epic, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, or similar systems.
• Support patient care within a healthcare setting, including physician offices, clinics, urgent care centers, pharmacies, hospitals, or home health environments.

Position Summary:

As a Medical Assistant, you would balance the needs of patients and maintain efficient work flow of the office as well as provide support to the physician in all facets of medical procedures – before during and after. In addition, you would ensure that the patient has an excellent service experience.

Position Details:

• Schedule: Part-time Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday
• Location: Reno
• Compensation: $22-$25/hr
• Must be able to travel out of state for 2 weeks for paid full-time training.
