Job summary

USA Clinics Group is seeking a Medical Assistant in Reno to balance patient needs with efficient office flow and provide physician support before, during, and after procedures.

The role emphasizes a patient-first service experience, EMR/EHR documentation, and collaboration with a diverse care team. Requires 2–5 years of hands-on MA experience and a High School Diploma.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2–5 years of hands-on clinical experience as a Medical Assistant is required.
• Clinical duties include vital signs, rooming, phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, and specimen collection.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program and/or CMA/RMA/CCMA certification is preferred.
• Proven patient-facing or customer service experience in a fast-paced environment is required.
• Fluency in Spanish and English is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet, room, and assist patients to ensure a welcoming experience.
• Document patient vitals, histories, and clinical data in EMR/EHR.
• Perform clinical tasks within training and certification scope.
• Document interactions and clinical information in EMR/EHR accurately.

• Support care across physician offices, clinics, urgent care centers, pharmacies, hospitals, or home health.

Position Summary:

As a Medical Assistant, you would balance the needs of patients and maintain efficient work flow of the office as well as provide support to the physician in all facets of medical procedures – before during and after. In addition, you would ensure that the patient has an excellent service experience.

Position Details:

• Schedule: Part-time Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday
• Location: Reno
• Compensation: $22-$25/hr
• Must be able to travel out of state for 2 weeks for paid full-time training.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet, room, and assist patients upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming and positive patient experience.
• Obtain and document patient vital signs, medical histories, and other clinical information in the electronic medical record (EMR/EHR).
• Perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, EKGs, injections/vaccinations, specimen collection, and other duties within scope of training and certification.
• Accurately document patient interactions and clinical information using EMR/EHR systems.
• Deliver exceptional patient service while managing a high volume of patient interactions in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Utilize EMR/EHR platforms such as Epic, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, or similar systems.
• Support patient care within a healthcare setting, including physician offices, clinics, urgent care centers, pharmacies, hospitals, or home health environments.
