Job summary

UMass Memorial Medical Group in West Boylston, MA is seeking a Medical Assistant II to join a busy ambulatory clinic. The role includes escorting patients, taking vital signs, performing EKGs, phlebotomy and POC tests, and assisting with injections as needed.

Requirements include a high school diploma, BLS/HS certification, and MA Department of Health-approved MA credential within 1 year. A $3,000 sign-on bonus is available in some cases.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Current BLS/HS certification from American Heart Association; within 3 months if not available at hire.
• Medical Assistant credential approved by MA Department of Health must be obtained within 1 year of hire/transfer.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and record vital signs.
• Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, and Point of Care tests.
• May prepare and administer non-intravenous injections within scope of practice.
