Job summary

HonorHealth's Medical Assistant role at the Carefree Primary Care Clinic in Scottsdale, AZ, provides general front and back office support, escorts patients to exam rooms, keeps exam rooms clean, and maintains patient records with accuracy.

Under a provider's direction, the MA may perform clinical and clerical duties, including scheduling, data entry, and assisting with exams and special procedures, in a team-based model to improve patient experience and access to care.

Qualifications

• Completion of a MA training program.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• 6 months experience as a Medical Assistant - Preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares treatment rooms for examination; escorts patients to exam rooms and documents history.
• Maintains clean, neat and stocked exam rooms; provides front and back office support.
• Answers calls, schedules patients, and manages messages; maintains patient information accurately.
• Performs clerical duties including chart maintenance and insurance forms.
• May travel to off-site locations for diagnostic testing and injections; assists in exams and procedures.
