Endeavor Health is seeking a Medical Assistant/Scheduling Assistant in Chicago to join a busy physician practice. You will answer phones, schedule appointments, collect co-pays, and assist with patient registration and essential front-office tasks.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent; CPR certification is required. Prior medical office experience is preferred, with on-the-job training provided as needed. This role is full-time with standard clinic hours.

Hourly Pay Range

$20.29 - $29.42 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights

• Position: Medical Assistant/Scheduling Assistant
• Location: Chicago, IL
• Full Time, 40 weekly hours
• Hours: M-F 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
• Required Travel: Yes - Tapestry 360 Chicago, Asian Human Services Chicago

What you will do

• Answer phones
• Schedule appointments
• Collect co-payments
• Complete patient registration
• Provide other administrative support to the physician practice
• Check in and check out patient
• Verify insurances
• Greet patients and escort them to exam room
• Document vital signs, allergies, medications and reason for office visit
• Provide front office support as needed

What you will need

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent work experience is required. Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program is preferred, but not required.
• Certification: CPR certification through the American Heart Association required; Medical Assistant Certification (AMT or AAMA) is preferred, but not required.
• Experience: One year of work experience required, previous experience working in a medical office (or related field) is preferred. On the job training is provided for those who do not have previous medical assistant training or experience.
