Pay Range: $16.12 - $24.18 per hour | Based on Relevant Experience
Schedule: Full-time, Monday – Thursday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m., Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. No travel required.
About The Role
Join our Rheumatology team as a Medical Assistant and play a key role in delivering specialized patient care. In this position, you'll support providers and patients with clinical and administrative tasks unique to the rheumatology field. This role is ideal for candidates eager to grow their skills and make a meaningful impact in a focused specialty area.
Primary Responsibilities
- Escort patients to examination rooms, prepare them for exams, and accurately record vital signs and patient information.
- Assist providers during examinations and medical procedures.
- Coordinate referral appointments, medication refills, and other patient needs.
- Handle incoming and outgoing calls to ensure accurate communication of patient information.
- Schedule ancillary tests and procedures as directed and communicate test results and follow-up instructions to patients.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the office and medical equipment.
- Serve as a patient coach, offering support and care coordination.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support clinic operations.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- CPR certification required (available upon hire).
- Medical Assistant certification preferred.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience as a CNA, PCA, or MA preferred but not required.
- Willingness to learn medical terminology and expand knowledge in the rheumatology specialty.
