Planned Parenthood of Greater Ohio’s Kent Health Center is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide compassionate clinical support and essential administrative tasks in a fast‑paced, patient‑centric environment.

The role partners with clinicians to prepare patients, assist with exams, perform basic lab work, and educate patients about services and resources while upholding HIPAA and patient privacy standards.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of advanced medical assistant training or CMA credential.
• Excellent communication, customer service, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information per HIPAA.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented healthcare environment.
• Ability to work some Saturdays.

Responsabilidades

• Greet patients and explain visit expectations.
• Gather and document medical and social history.
• Measure vital signs (height, weight, blood pressure).
• Prepare patients for examinations and assist clinicians during exams and procedures.
• Perform venipuncture and approved waived laboratory tests.
• Administer medications within the scope of training, certification, or licensure.
• Provide accurate patient education about services, contraceptive options, funding resources, and follow-up needs.
• Prepare examination rooms and maintain supplies, inventory, cleanliness, and safety standards.
• Schedule, cancel, and reschedule appointments; manage patient registration and records.
• Use electronic systems to document visits, collect fees, and provide receipts.
• Ensure HIPAA, OSHA, and CLIA compliance; participate in training and quality initiatives.
