Responsibilities

• Assist medical and nursing staff with clerical and clinical support tasks as directed.
• Coordinate schedules for patients and providers.
• Perform clinical tasks such as patient flow management, rooming, and taking medical histories.
• Support our team in delivering patient care within the Virginia Mason Production System model.

Qualifications

Required:

• High School diploma or GED
• 6 months experience in a medical office/clinic or graduation from an accredited Medical Administrative Assistant, Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant Program.
• Ability to obtain Medical Assistant Registered (MA-R) through the State of Washington, sponsored by Virginia Mason.
• Medical Assistant Registered (MA-R) required within 60 days of hire.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Professional demeanor with positive attitude, strong communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Effective communication with staff, leaders, patients, and physicians.

Preferred: Associates degree or equivalent.
